The short version
King Tallow earns a commission when a reader clicks an outbound product link on this site and goes on to make a qualifying purchase. The commission comes from the retailer, not from the reader. The price you pay is the same whether you click our link or go directly to the retailer.
Every post that contains an affiliate link declares it at the top in plain language. Every affiliate link in the page source carries rel="sponsored" so search engines, browsers, and ad blockers can identify it.
The partners we work with
Amazon Associates. King Tallow is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. This is the source of the majority of our affiliate income.
Brand-direct partnerships. A small number of beef tallow brands sell directly from their own websites and run affiliate programs through ShareASale, Impact, or Rakuten. When we link to one of those brands we use the same sponsored disclosure pattern.
Mediavine display ads. Display ads on the site are served through Mediavine and its partner demand sources. Those ads are not affiliate links and are not under our editorial control. They appear next to articles but do not influence what we recommend.
What affiliate income does not change
The recommendations on this site are made before the affiliate link is added. Every product we recommend has been bought at retail and used for at least 14 days. If a product underperforms during testing it does not get recommended even if the affiliate commission would be larger than the alternative we are recommending instead.
A brand cannot pay us to add a product to a "best of" list, to remove a competitor, or to change a star rating. We do not accept gifted product in exchange for review coverage. We do not write sponsored posts.

How to spot an affiliate link on this site
- The link goes to an Amazon URL (often shortened as
amzn.to/...) or directly to a brand's product page. - It opens in a new tab and carries
rel="sponsored noopener noreferrer". - It is paired with a one-line disclosure block at the top of the post.
- It appears in a "Top picks" or "Recommended products" card with explicit "Sponsored links" labeling.
