Tallow rendering

Kitchen, slow-cooker, stove-top, and small-batch commercial methods. I have rendered every type of beef fat at least once and most of them many times.

DIY skincare formulation

Cold-process soap, whipped balms, lotion bars, salves, lip balms, deodorants. I publish what works after eight batches, not after one.

Cooking-fat chemistry

Smoke points, fatty-acid breakdowns, Maillard behavior. I cite USDA FoodData Central for nutrition and peer-reviewed papers for mechanisms.

Regional sourcing

I have mapped real butchers, ranches, farmers markets, and grocers across 20 US states. The list grows when a reader emails me a tip and I verify it.
